The data shows that four men and one woman were released in the Savanna zip code. The median age of the parolees was 32. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 31-year-old man convicted of a crime against one or more children in 2012.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Mark Council. He was convicted of a sex crime in 2010, when he was 24 years old. He is now 33.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
