CITY OF GALENA: New Rules For Depositing Landscape Waste At Old City Landfill

City of Galena issued the following announcement on July 18.

Residents permitted to drop off landscape waste Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 a.m to 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon.

New rules are now effective for the Old City Landfill owned and operated by the City of Galena on Donegan Street. The landfill is available for City of Galena residents to drop off landscape waste generated on their property. Landscape waste includes, leaves, grass, and branches. No other materials are accepted. Residents are permitted to drop off landscape waste Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 a.m to 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon.

Non-residents and contractors are not permitted to deposit any landscape waste or materials at the Old City Landfill.
