CITY OF STERLING: Pedaling With The Police

Bikelady

City of Sterling issued the following announcement on July 26.

The Sterling Police Department will partner with C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors), as well as all members of our community, to remember the Officers that have lost their lives in the line of duty. We are requesting those who want to join in, to ride their bicycles with us as we pedal in downtown Sterling, IL. We will have a Patrol Vehicle escort us starting at the Sterling Police Department. Those who do not wish to ride, but want to participate, are encouraged to stand along the route with American Flags. There will be free food, a DJ, a bouncy house, bicycle safety stations, and face painting in the Sterling Police Department parking lot immediately following the ride. The first 50 people to RSVP to tmartin@sterling-il.gov or 815-632-6613 will receive a free T-Shirt the day of the ride!
