The Board of Education of the Unit School District #221, Counties of Ogle and Stephenson, Illinois, met in the Library at Forreston Junior/Senior High School on August 14, 2019 for a regular meeting.
A. Call to Order/Pledge of Allegiance
The regular meeting was called to order by President Reining at 6:35 p.m.

All rose and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
B. Roll Call
Members Present: Chip Braker, Don Cook, Robert DeVries, Shaun Gallagher, Joel Ludwig, Dr. April Moore, John Reining
Members Absent: None

C. Review and Adoption of Board of Education Agenda
A motion was made by Mr. Gallagher and seconded by Mr. Ludwig to adopt the Board of Education agenda as presented. On a roll call vote, the motion passed.

A motion was made by Mr. Braker and seconded by Mr. DeVries to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. On a roll call vote, the motion passed.

After review and discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Cook and seconded by Mr. Braker to approve the Driver's Education Vehicle Purchase as presented.

4. Approval to Let for Bids for Snow Removal
After review and discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Braker and seconded by Dr. Moore to Let for Bids for Snow Removal.

5. Approval of Policy Recommendations (PRESS Issue 101, Review of Sections 5 & 6, Other Policies) - 1st Reading
After review and discussion, a motion was made by Mr. DeVries and seconded by Mr. Cook to approve the Policy Recommendations (PRESS Issue 101, Review of Sections 5&6, Other Policies) - 1st Reading with the revision of changing policy 6:30 from "half” to "full” in regards to Kindergarten.
On a roll call vote, the motion passed.
