City of Sterling issued the following announcement on Jan. 2.
It may be up, it may be down. It may be shedding, it may be brown. When it's time to dispose, here's what ye needs to knows.
Christmas trees will be collected the first two full weeks of January 2020, we hope they brought you cheer o' plenty. Trees cannot have any wire, plastic, cloth, nor ornaments of glass or metal. No strings of Christmas lights or garland, no tinsel, no pedestal.
Wishing you all a happy new year, with good fortune and good cheer. May 2020 be the best one yet, free of worry, free of fret!
