City of Byron City Council met Jan. 8.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

1. CALL TO ORDER – Mayor Rickard called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m.

2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE – Led by Mayor Rickard

3. ROLL CALL – Aldermen present: *Todd Isaacs, Mittzi Fulrath, Zeke Hobbie, Christy Hanlin. Four members present by roll call vote. No Quorum established.

Aldermen absent: Emily Gerdes, Dan Reilly, Mike Gyorkos

PRESENT: Mayor John Rickard

City Clerk Caryn Huber

Dir. Of Public WorksAaron Vincer

Police Chief Todd Murray

Dir. of Econ. Dev. Larry Hewitt

City Engineer Gene Stoll

Citizens Pam Kultgen, Bill Pirnat, Mike Rock

4. REVERENCE PERIOD – Mayor Rickard led the Council in prayer.

5. APPROVAL/AMENDMENTS TO AGENDA – No quorum established

6. MINUTES –

a. December 4, 2019, Regular Council Meeting Minutes – No quorum established.

7. PUBLIC COMMENT – Mike Rock, candidate for Ogle County State’s Attorney, addressed the Council.

8. TREASURER’S REPORT – No report.

9. LIST OF BILLS – Will be voted on at the next City Council meeting.

10. MAYOR’S REPORT – A budget meeting will be held on Saturday, January 18 from 9am until noon. A second meeting is anticipated in early February to finalize the budget.

11. No other business was discussed due to lack of a quorum. The meeting concluded at 6:46 pm
