Home Depot has stopped selling N95 masks in its stores and is directing all stock to medical professionals fighting coronavirus.
Home Depot recently donated 5,680 N95 masks to KSB Hospital.
Shortages of personal protective equipment, including masks, is a concern across the country. Hospitals and health care providers in both metropolitan and rural areas are affected.
KSB President and CEO Dave Schreiner said the hospital was very grateful for the donation seeing as they've been, "running down every rabbit trail we could find" in search of masks for their staff.
"That does so much to protect our patients and our staff," Schreiner told Sauk Valley.
Last week, Home Depot announced that it will no longer be selling N96 masks in-store or online. All inventory will be donated to hospitals, health care providers and first responders across the country. According to a press release, Home Depot is also donating millions of dollars in personal protective equipment and other products to hospitals, health care providers and first responders. They are also working with their merchandising and supply chain teams to get quality products to medical personnel who are in need of them.
