Albany home prices fall in the first quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2020 in Albany fell by $11,500 while total sales increased by 300%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2020, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $87,400 - a 11.6% decrease over the $98,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Albany in the first quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Albany for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,376, approximately 2.7% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2020.
