City of Oregon issued the following announcement on May 9.
Construction on the improvements to 5th St and Jefferson St in the City of Oregon will begin on Tuesday, May 12th.
The work will include curb & gutter replacement, sidewalk replacement and pavement resurfacing on Jefferson St from 4th St (IL Route 2) to 6th St, and on 5th St from Jefferson St to Washington St (IL Route 64).
During construction, street parking will be limited and sections of sidewalk will be closed. Parking lot access will remain open, but some entrances will be closed (or partially closed) during replacement.
This work is separate from the sidewalk work IDOT is performing in Oregon along Route 2 and Route 64.
