Ogle County Facilities Committee met April 14.
Here is the agenda provided by the committee:
1. Call Meeting to Order: Chairman Typer called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. Present via audio: Griffin, Kenney, Reising and Sulser. Others via audio: Finfrock, IT Manager Larry Callant and Sheriff Brian VanVickle. Absent: Fox and McLester.
2. Approval of Minutes – March 10, 2020: Motion by Reising to approve the minutes as presented, 2nd by Kenney. Motion carried.
3. Public Comment: Typer stated they need to keep the meeting moving. Finfrock stated the County Board meeting will take place as scheduled but will be strictly a virtual meeting.
4. Project Status Report: Sheriff VanVickle reported that the material for the EOC generator enclosure has arrived and should be installed in the next couple of weeks. They have had to do some major roof repairs to the garage. Griffin asked when the generator would be operational. VanVickle stated the enclosure needs to be completed before the fuel tank is installed. Kenney asked if it is diesel or natural gas; VanVickle stated it was diesel.
5. Old Business
Budget Performance Report: Typer stated the report was emailed. VanVickle stated they received a refund check of approximately $30,000 for the error in the electric bills.
It seemed that there was an overlap in billing during the switching of providers.

6. New Business: Typer asked Sheriff VanVickle to back off on any projects for now to help minimize the spending during this budget shortfall. VanVickle stated he met with Chairman Finfrock, Vice Chairwoman Nordman and Finance Chairman Sparrow and they came up with approximately $387,000 reductions across his budgets.
7. Approval of Bills
Credit Card Billing: None
Department Billing: Motion by Griffin that the department billing has been reviewed, 2nd by Kenney. Motion carried. Total: $37,202.60
8. Adjournment: With no further business, Chairman Typer adjourned the meeting. Time: 10:46 a.m.
