Village of Orangeville Village Board met May 4.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Orangeville Village Board met by video meeting on Zoom.us. President Siedschlag called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. The roll was called. Members present: Mike Siedschlag, Joe Davis, Bill Guinther, Ray Parriott, Kurt Schilling, Tom Scudder and Toni Koester. Members absent: Mike Schindler.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA

Schilling made the motion to approve the agenda as read. Second by Guinther. A voice vote was called on the motion. Motion to approve the May 4, 2020 regular meeting agenda as read carried unanimously.

PUBLIC COMMENT & COMMUNICATION

None to report.

APPROVAL OF APRIL 8, 2020 REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

Schilling made the motion to approve April 8, 2020 regular meeting minutes. Second by Scudder. A voice vote was called on the motion. Motion to approve April 8, 2020 regular meeting minutes carried unanimously.

APPROVAL OF APRIL 2020 BILLS

Guinther made the motion to pay $13,073.91 for April 2020 bills. Second by Schilling. A roll call vote was called on the motion. Members voting yea: Davis, Guinther, Parriott, Schilling and Scudder. Zero voted nay. Motion to pay $13,073.91 for April 2020 bills carried unanimously.

VILLAGE CONSTABLE REPORT APRIL 2020

None to report. Watching nightly activity more frequently.

VILLAGE TREASURER REPORT (ENDING APRIL 30, 2020)

Current Month Beginning Balance: $702,315.47

Deposits: $32,816.79

Disbursements: $(29,430.62)

Current Month Ending Balance: $705,701.64

Schindler joined the meeting at 7:13.

OLD BUSINESS

Storm Sewer Project

Estimate by Wagner for $22,780 for sewer extension.

Estimated cost of electrical updates at wastewater/maintenance building

Update electrical line at wastewater plant to back end to pump, estimate $1200-1300. To update the entire project, estimate of $3000.

Village street work

Contract signed and sent to Civil for 2020 street work.

NEW BUSINESS

Approval for sewer extension and TIF reimbursement

Scudder motioned for Public Works extension agreement for Glenwood Equities LLC for property at 100 Samuelson

Drive for Dollar General. Schilling second the motion. The Clerk called for a roll call vote on the motion. Members voting yea: Davis, Guinther, Parriott, Schilling and Scudder. Zero voted nay. Motion for Public Works extension agreement for Glenwood Equities LLC for property at 100 Samuelson Drive for Dollar General carried unanimously.

Report on insurance

Extensive hail damage to village buildings.

Insurance coverage review with Stateline Insurance

Some buildings not covered under previous coverage; bathrooms at Tower Park, salt shed, shelter houses and tractor shed. Looking into coverage for all Village buildings.

OTHER NEW BUSINESS/PRESIDENTS REPORT

Trash Day set for June 6th.

Scudder made the motion to adjourn the regular board meeting. Second by Guinther. A voice vote was called on the motion. Motion to adjourn the regular board meeting carried at 7:38 pm.
