Prophetstown home prices fall in the first half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2020 in Prophetstown fell by $10,500 while total sales decreased by 28%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2020, there were 18 homes sold, with a median sale price of $81,500 - a 11.4% decrease over the $92,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 25 homes sold in Prophetstown in the first half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Prophetstown for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,998, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2020.
