The city of Dixon and the Lee County Industrial Development Association (LCIDA) have recently joined with Xsite Realty and Walsh Partners to create a 27-acre development project along the Interstate 88 corridor.
Marketing of the Gateway Project, which will be located west of Galena Avenue between Keul and Bloody Gulch roads, is expected to target hospitality-sector businesses such as lodging, restaurants and gas stations, a release issued on the Dixon government website said. Additional uses in the service and retail sectors are anticipated as well.
“Building up Dixon’s I-88 exchange corridor has long been a community goal,” Dixon Mayor Li Arellano said in the release. “This joint project is a major development that builds on previous successes and partnerships to advance that goal. It is a huge win for Dixon and a boon for travelers, because it will firmly cement Dixon’s position as the best travel stop in our region!”
