Ogle County IT Committee met Aug. 11.
Here is the minutes provided by the committee:
1. Call Meeting to Order: Chairwoman Whalen called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. Present via audio: Heuer (arrived at 10:06), Nordman (arrived at 10:02), Sparrow and Youman. Others via audio: IT Manager Larry Callant.
2. Approval of Minutes – July 14, 2020: Motion by Sparrow to approve the minutes as presented, 2nd by Youman. Motion carried.
3. Approval of Bills: Motion by Sparrow to approve the bills totaling $2,395.53, 2nd by Youman. Motion carried.
4. Public Comment: None
5. Department Report: Callant has been busy with items due to the power outage yesterday. Phone system went down, still having issues today. Email server is back up and running. Some battery backups failed from being without power for so long.
6. New Business: None
7. Old Business: Youman asked if there was any business opportunity for the County if we went to our own CBRS band for internet. Whalen is not opposed to looking at that, Youman would like to meet with Callant prior to next month’s meeting.

9. Adjournment: Motion by Sparrow to adjourn, 2nd by Youman. Motion carried. Time: 10:11 a.m.
