An opportunity to fill the bank account while helping provide for a good cause is available through the collective efforts of the Freeport Noon Kiwanis, Lincoln-Douglas Kiwanis and Greater Freeport Partnership.
Ticket sales for the 2020 Freeport Citywide 50/50 have resumed after being interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. A Greater Freeport Partnership press release reported the tickets cost $1. The winner of last year’s drawing took home $4,000.
“Due to a disruption in our normal sales timeframe, we have moved back our drawing date to Nov. 22. We encourage everyone to purchase their tickets as the prize pot continues to grow,” Katie Gentz, event coordinator at the Greater Freeport Partnership, said.
Proceeds from the event help partnering agencies with social service and beautification purposes. Tickets can be purchased from a Kiwanis member, Greater Freeport Partnership office, Stephenson County Visitor Center, Rite-Way Furniture, Beltline Café, Cub Foods or Sullivan Foods.
