Fulton Fire Protection District responded to 56 calls in 2018 - 12 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Fulton included 33 fires - 21 structure fires, two vehicle fires and 10 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $118,400 in fire loss - or about $3,588 per fire.

The department also received 22 false calls, including one malicious call and 21 other false calls.
