Ashton Fire District responded to 21 calls in 2018 - 19.2 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Ashton included 18 fires - 12 structure fires, four vehicle fires and two other fires.

In all, the department saw $127,200 in fire loss - or about $7,067 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.

The Ashton Fire District had an annual budget of $168,622 in 2018.
