1 Jo Daviess County resident in fifties tests positive for COVID-19 on Sept. 30

One Jo Daviess County resident in his or her fifties tested positive for COVID-19 on September 30, according to numbers being reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

In total, there have been 36 positive cases reported in Jo Daviess County among residents in their fifties, accounting for 13.1 percent of all cases in the county. Through September 30, Jo Daviess County has reported a total of 275 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, two of which have ended with the victim's death.

Illinois gathers all of their COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
