Byron Forest Preserve District issued the following announcement on Oct. 9.

FALL FRENZY RACE SERIES:

Fee: $70.00 adults/$50.00 youth

FALL FROLIC 5K

Get ready to celebrate fall as we start the race series at Bald Hill Preserve, home of Illinois largest tree. Shirts are guaranteed to participants preregistered by September 11 at noon. Online registration closes Thursday, September 24 at noon.

Date: Saturday, September 26

Race Day Check-in: 7:00 - 7:45 a.m.

Race Time: 8:00 a.m.

Location: Bald Hill Preserve, 5502 N. SIlver Creek Rd. Mt. Morris, IL

Fee: $30.00 adults/ $20.00 youth

Pre-registration Bib Pick Up: Friday, September 25, 5:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the Byron Park District

HARVEST HUSTLE 5K

Enjoy the beauty of fall and the changing colors at the Stephen and Deirdre Nardi Equine Prairie. Shirts are guaranteed to participants preregistered by October 9 at noon. Online registration closes Thursday, October 22 at noon.

Race Day Check-in: 7:00 - 7:45 a.m.

Race Time: 8:00 a.m.

TURKEY TROT 5K

This very popular race will be an approximate 5K! Pies will be awarded to participants closest to guessing their time. Time pieces will not be allowed. Back again is the Best "Dressed" Golden Turkey Award. Be sure to wear your best holiday race gear for a chance to win! Shirts are guaranteed to participants preregistered by November 13 at noon. Online registration closes Tuesday, November 24 at noon.
