Ogle County Judiciary & Circuit Clerk Committee met Oct. 13.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

1. Call Meeting to Order: Chairman McKinney called the meeting to order at 9:04 a.m. Present: Corbitt, Droege and Sulser. Present via audio: Bowers. Present via audio: Circuit Clerk Kim Stahl. Absent: Judge Robert Hanson.

2. Approval of Minutes – September 8, 2020: Motion by Droege to approve the minutes as presented, 2nd by Bowers. Motion carried.

3. Closed Session: None

4. Public Comment: None

5. Judiciary

 Monthly Bills: Motion by Bowers to approve the bills totaling $16,394.06, 2nd by Sulser. Roll Call: Yes – Corbitt, Bowers, Droege, Sulser and McKinney. Motion carried.

 Department Update: None

6. Circuit Clerk

 Monthly Bills: Motion by Bowers to approve the bills totaling $510.04, 2nd by Corbitt. Roll Call: Yes – Corbitt, Bowers, Droege, Sulser and McKinney. Motion carried.

 Department Update: The State formed a sub-committee to standardize forms for use in Illinois courts; Stahl was the only Circuit Clerk invited to join. Corbitt congratulated her. Stahl also informed the Committee that the first jury trial may be held on October 19th. She briefly went through the procedures that they have in place. Stahl questioned the sexual harassment training requirement; she is unclear of what link needs to be completed. Corbitt stated they did discuss it this morning at the Personnel Committee and Heuer stated the PowerPoint presentation link is sufficient.

7. New Business: None

8. Adjournment: With no further business, Chairman McKinney adjourned the meeting. Time: 9:17 a.m.
