Mount Morris home prices rise in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in Mount Morris rose by $11,000 while total sales decreased by 26.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were 11 homes sold, with a median sale price of $85,000 - a 14.9% increase over the $74,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 15 homes sold in Mount Morris in the second quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Mount Morris for 2018 was $1,687. In 2017, the median sales tax was $1,713. This marks an decrease of 1.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
