Illinois State House District 74 issued the following announcement on Oct. 28
State Representative Dan Swanson is hosting a Community Blood Drive on Tuesday, November 10 at his Legislative Office in Woodhull (275 N. Division Street) from 3:00pm-6:00pm.
“There is plenty of time to schedule a time to donate blood,” said Rep. Swanson. “Over One Third of the US population is eligible to donate blood, but fewer than 10% actually donate. The need is all the greater this year and the challenge even more for securing blood supply needed for Illinois.”
Face coverings and appointments are required for this event. For more information on blood donation eligibility and events near you, please visit the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center’s website at bloodcenter.org. To sign up to donate on Tuesday, November 10, please call Julie Dillie at 309-334-7474 or sign up online at bloodcenter.org.
Rep. Swanson represents all or parts of Bureau, Henry, Knox, Lee and Mercer counties in the Illinois General Assembly. Any area resident who is eligible to donate blood may donate as part of this Blood Drive. Blood donations are not limited to 74th District residents.
