City of Galena issued the following announcement on Feb. 25.
Starting February 22, the Jo Daviess County Health Department has worked with Jo Daviess County Emergency Management to establish a COVID-19 call center. Volunteers are staffing the call center Monday – Friday from 9am-3pm and are available to answer questions as well as help those over age 65 who do not have access to a computer or smart phone or anyone to help them navigate the registration website to sign up to receive their vaccine. The call center can be reached at 815-591-2673.
Please know that contacting the call center does not guarantee you an appointment at the next clinic, but you can be placed on a waiting list if you are over age 65 and live or work in Jo Daviess County. We will keep your information and contact you when it is your turn for an appointment. Vaccine is still limited so it will take time for everyone who is eligible to receive their dose.
Please be sure to read through the instructions found under the registration link before trying to book your appointment. There is also a link to a document with screenshots of what each step in a successful registration looks like.
