1. 22-0101 Call to Order – Mayor

Start Time: 6:00 p.m.

Alderman Biermeier, Alderman Burgmeier, Alderman Fluhr, Alderman Muir, Alderman Pearson and Attorney Kurt

2. 22-0102 Staff Reports

a. City Manager Report

i. Leadership Forum

Asked if anyone would want to attend? Alyssa has volunteered and wondering if there would be any council members that would be interested in going. They rotate from town to town. When in East Dubuque it is at Timmerman’s. Is a time commitment cause it is 3 days.

Alderman Biermeier – Who leads sessions? Highland Community College

ii. Building Permit

Alderman Burgmeier – asked about overhang. Had a 6-foot overhang in building plans.

Alderman Pearson – asked about inspections and where they come from. They will be coming out of Rockford and Springfield.

iii. Minimum Wage

Is now $12 an hour starting January 1, 2022.

iv. NW Illinois Annual Report

Alderman Pearson is on the Board. Meetings are usually zoomed and a new lawyer was just hired.

Alderman Pearson – asked about giving money. $2,000 was given.

v. DACRA Update

Started in February 15, 2021 and in that time 295 citations given. With $71,000 total amount for the year and $21,035 in fines paid so far.

Will start writing citations on snow removal that is put in city right away. Will get a verbal warning first then a citation after that.

Alderman Pearson – in the flats area placement of snow. Need to put it in their yards.

Alderman Fluhr – where do you see it the most? Desoto

Mark Fluhr – flats area is the trouble area.

Guys did a great job on cleaning the snow that weekend.

5. 22-0105 Discussion and Possible Action to Approve Reciprocal Agreement on Exchange Information Between the City of East Dubuque and the Illinois Department of Revenue in the City of East Dubuque, Jo Daviess County, Illinois / Mayor Degenhardt, City Manager Herrig

Annual report about sales tax being kept confidential.

Motion by Alderman Pearson to Approve Reciprocal Agreement on Exchange Information Between the City of East Dubuque and the Illinois Department of Revenue second by Alderman Biermeier 

ROLL CALL: 

Ayes – Mayor Degenhardt, Alderman Biermeier, Alderman Burgmeier, Alderman Fluhr, Alderman Muir and Alderman Pearson 

Motion carried

6. 22-0106 Adjourn
