The fourth quarter of 2021: Nelson experienced a 24.5% drop in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2021 in Nelson fell by $13,000 while total sales decreased by 57.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2021, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $40,000 - a 24.5% decrease over the $53,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Nelson in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Nelson for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,041, approximately 5.1% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2021.
