City of Dixon City Council met Feb. 17.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Arellano at 3:02pm.

ROLL CALL

Councilman Bishop, Considine, Oros, Venier, and Mayor Arellano answered roll call.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

The Pledge of Allegiance was cited.

VISITOR/PUBLIC COMMENT

None

WORK SESSION

FY 2022/2023 BUDGET

City Manager Langloss explained the plan for the presentations today.

IT Manager Philhower reviewed the Information Technology Budget, discussion ensued throughout. Explained a Capital Budget items of the Downtown Music System, discussion ensued throughout.

Building Official Shipman reviewed the Public Safety Building budget, discussion ensued.

Fire Chief Buskohl reviewed the EV Fund, Fire Department, and Fire & Police Commission budget, discussion ensued throughout.

Police Chief Howell reviewed the Police Department budget and discussion ensued. Break from 3:54pm to 4:00pm

Police Chief Howell and IT Manager Philhower spoke about Body Cameras, records management system and WatchGuard, and storage. The suggestion was to move forward now, the mandate is by 2025. Internal camera systems across the City, security at buildings at the water department, wastewater department, police department, riverfront, and City Hall, the server is over 10 years old. Discussion ensued throughout.

Tuesday’s meeting is with the community entities to present to the Council.

3:00 P.M. Mayor Arellano commented on paying for pre-engineering of the project for signage downtown, heritage crossing, viaduct point, and I-88. Discussion ensued.

Councilman Venier stated that there are still seats available for the Get the Led Out show at the Dixon Theatre on Wednesday, February 23rd.

ADJOURMENT

Councilman Oros moved that the Special Council Meeting of Thursday, February 17, 2022 be adjourned to meet in Special Session on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 3:00pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Seconded by Councilman Venier. Voting Yea: Councilman Bishop, Considine, Oros, Venier, and Mayor Arellano. Voting Nay: None. Motion Carried

The meeting adjourned at 4:25pm.
