Census Bureau: 78.5 percent of people in Stephenson County were old enough to vote in 2020

Of the 44,683 citizens living in Stephenson County in 2020, 35,083 were old enough to vote as of March 24, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 18,341 of those people were female and 16,742 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
