City of Fulton City Council met June 26.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

7. Presentations – Mayor will reiterate the giving of a $500.00 gift to Mr. Snyder, FHS Shop teacher, for building the Santa house.

8. Consent Agenda (All items in the consent agenda will be enacted by a single motion and roll call vote. Any item may be removed upon request by the Mayor or any Aldermen and considered individually after all other items of business on the consent agenda.)

This is where the council has committed to spending the ARPA funds to date and the total amount received and the balance needing to be allocated to a project.

Reminder the ARPA funds must be allocated to a project by the end of 2024 and spent by the end of 2025.

  • Motion to Approve
Alderperson VanKampen is asking for a motion to approve allocating ARPA funds to put in an additional bathroom at Drives Park and to use remaining balance to replace non-operational radios in the Police Department. Specific amounts to be determined.

Committee of the Whole - Discussion

  • Public Works Director, Eric Sikkema would like to discuss the OSLAD grant for Parks on the agenda so we can pursue a grant.
  • Add A 1 License back to Fulton Oil for new owner.
  • Personnel Committee met with a recommendation to approve a time sheet for all Alderpersons’ meetings reimbursement. Beginning July 1, 2023, a submission will have to be made before being paid. This will be on a monthly basis. See example. (page 11)
  • Discussion Item – Clinton to Fulton MTA Bus Stop. (pages 12-16)
  • Discussion Item – Windmill Hours. Currently posted on City’s website:
May Hours: Saturday 10 am – 5 pm & Sunday 1-5 pm

June-Sept. Hours: Tuesday-Friday 10 am – 2 pm, Saturday 10 am– 5 pm, Sunday 1 - 5 pm

October Hours: Saturday 10 am - 5 pm and Sunday 1-5 pm
