City of East Dubuque City Council met July 24.

2. 23-0723 Staff Reports

a. City Manager Report

Interim City Manager Bob Seitz introduced himself. Has 30 plus years working with the government and excited to be here.

b. Mayor Report

Super excited to get Interim City Manager and will be searching for new City Manager.

c. Alderperson Report

i. Belken

Thanked Mayor Digman for all the leg work he has been doing.

Mark Quade’s property with brush/weeds that need to be taken care of.

Lyons Well Drilling did come in under bid. It is up and in service.

ii. Pressure Reducing Valves

Last week put in valves. Ran into some hiccups but up and running.

iii. Sidewalk behind Nancy’s Slots

Had an elderly woman fall. This will be taken care of this week

Water tower still needs to do sanitation disinfecting. Marc Ruden said the tower could be up and running in the next month or so.

NEW BUSINESS:

5. 23-0726 Discussion and Possible Action to Approve an Amendment to Ordinance of Standard Specifications for Paving, Wastewater, Storm Sewer and Water in the City of East Dubuque,Jo Daviess County, Illinois / Mayor Digman, Marc Ruden

Asked if everyone was able to go through the couple hundreds of pages. This goal here is to bring the standards up to date. Now we have a packet that we can give developers to give them something to follow. This is a good step forward.

Motion by Alderperson Robey to Approve Change Notification of Designee second by Alderperson Fluhr ROLL CALL: Ayes – Alderperson Belken, Alderperson Degenhardt, Alderperson Fluhr and Alderperson Robey Motion carried Absent – Alderperson Burgmeier and Alderperson Meier

7. 23-0728 Discussion and Possible Action to Approve Professional Services Contract to Move Forward on Project Plan and IEPA Application for Four Lift Stations Replacements with Fehr Graham in the City of East Dubuque, Jo Daviess County, Illinois / Mayor Digman, Darin Stykel

Recommend to table this there is some overlap. That the project plan was in the works and going to be tied with the Oxford Street Project that was brought to his attention less than an hour ago.
