Beginning this Monday, IDOT projects in Savanna will impact local traffic. The projects involve bridge repairs to both the IL 84 over the Plum River bridge, near Poopy’s Pub, and IL 84 over the south section of the BNSF railroad yard. This work requires each bridge to be reduced to one lane utilizing temporary traffic signals; however, only one bridge will be worked on at a time. The project is anticipated to be completed by mid to late June. The work is set to begin on Monday, March 18th.
According to Leader McCombie, "local residents to be patient, drive carefully, and take extra time to travel."
