House Minority Leader Tony McCombie has been actively engaging with communities in her 89th District this week. The district encompasses various counties, including Carroll, Jo Daviess, Stephenson, Winnebago, Boone, Ogle, and DeKalb. One of her notable visits was with Mike Lewis, the Village of Tampico’s Chief of Police.

Leader McCombie participated in an Agriculture Roundtable alongside State Reps. Jeff Keicher and Brad Fritts at the DeKalb County Farm Bureau. Recognizing the importance of agriculture in Illinois, she emphasized the need to support and promote the thriving agricultural industry in the state.

In an effort to celebrate and recognize local businesses, Leader McCombie launched a program that relies on constituent nominations. This initiative has led her to discover and appreciate numerous local shops, stores, and restaurants across Northwest Illinois. She encourages constituents to nominate their favorite local spots for recognition.

During her visits this week, Leader McCombie also spent time at Koeller Forreston Hardware and held mobile office hours at the Shannon Village Office, demonstrating her commitment to engaging with constituents across the district.

Furthermore, Leader McCombie enjoyed her time at the Genoa Chamber of Commerce’s annual Hometown Expo & Family Fair, showcasing her support for community events and local organizations.
