Flag Day celebrates the official adoption of the United States flag on June 14, 1777. Communities across the country honor this day by recognizing the stars and stripes.
House Minority Leader Tony McCombie participated in a special ceremony in Mount Morris to commemorate Flag Day. “On this Flag Day, let us also acknowledge the importance of educating the next generation about the values our flag represents,” said McCombie. “It is through education and awareness that we can ensure the legacy of our flag is passed onto future generations. By teaching our children about the history and significance of our flag, we instill in them a sense of pride and responsibility to uphold the principles that define our nation.”
