Road construction set to begin on U.S. 20 in Elizabeth

The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that construction on U.S. 20 in Elizabeth will commence on Monday, July 22. The work zone extends from Scales Mound Road to East Street. The project involves patching the road and will necessitate daily lane closures managed by flaggers. Motorists can anticipate delays and are advised to drive with caution.
