After the release of bodycam footage and transcript following the death of Springfield resident Sonya Massey, House Minority Leader Tony McCombie issued a statement.
“I strongly condemn the reckless and brutal actions of Deputy Sean Grayson, who shot and killed Sonya Massey. The Illinois State Police and State’s Attorney acted swiftly in their investigation, and I expect the judicial system to do the same. My prayers are with the Massey family and the Springfield community during this horrible time.”
