Union Pacific’s Big Boy Locomotive No. 4014, one of the world’s largest operating steam locomotives, is making its way across Illinois soon.

According to a report from the Associated Press, the massive locomotive is “longer than two city buses, weighs more than a Boeing 747 fully loaded with passengers and can pull 16 Statues of Liberty over a mountain.”

As part of the “Heartland of America Tour,” Big Boy No. 4014 will be departing from Cheyenne, Wyoming on August 28th and traveling across nine states, including Illinois. The eight-week tour will include several stops with public viewing opportunities; Illinois residents can look forward to viewing No. 4014 on display on Sunday, September 8th in Rochelle, Illinois.
