For the August 2024 local business highlight, Representative Bradley J. Fritts chose Oliver’s Corner Market in Dixon for their community support and dedication to providing a quality neighborhood grocery store. The market, founded by Tim and Patty Oliver in 1987, hosts weekend cookouts to aid local fundraising efforts. Notably, Oliver’s played a crucial role in saving the Rock River Valley Shamrock Club's annual Saint Patrick’s Day parade through community fundraising.

Oliver’s Corner Market is located at 748 N. Brinton Avenue in Dixon. More information can be found on their website at OliversCornerMarket.com.

Representative Fritts also announced an upcoming Household Hazardous Waste Collection Drive, in collaboration with House Minority Leader Tony McCombie, Sauk Valley Community College, and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA). The event will take place on Saturday, October 26th from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon. Reservations are required and can be made through RepFritts.com.

Additionally, Rep. Fritts expressed pride in receiving a perfect voting record from the Technology & Manufacturing Association (TMA), recognizing his alignment with seven key pieces of legislation impacting small and mid-sized manufacturers.
