FOIA Request to City Of Rock Falls Finance Department Regarding Detailed Sales Tax Information on October 25, 2024.
A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was submitted to the City Of Rock Falls Finance Department by NW Illinois News. The request was made for comprehensive sales tax data collected from retailers from January 1, 2024, up until the present day.
The specifics of the request include detailed monthly comparisons of actual sales tax collected versus projected figures. In addition, we have asked for the number of active retail locations paying sales tax each month and the names of these retailers along with their reported gross retail sales for each month.
