Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie recently honored Beach’s Supper Club in Lena, Illinois. The recognition is part of a program she initiated earlier this year to celebrate outstanding businesses in northwest Illinois.

During her visit, McCombie presented Beach’s Supper Club with a certificate of achievement. This accolade highlights the restaurant's dedication and hard work that have contributed to its success. Established in 1975, Beach’s is the longest-running supper club in Stephenson County and will mark its 50th anniversary on February 17, 2025. Michael and Anita Parkinson have been managing the establishment since 2007, overseeing both cooking and management duties.

Beach’s has faced several challenges over recent years, notably those brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these difficulties, it remains a cherished part of the community. The original owner's wife still visits occasionally, maintaining a connection to its origins.

“This is a fantastic supper club," said McCombie. "I am proud to recognize the owners for their commitment to maintaining this long-standing business which continues to feed our corner of the state exceptionally well.”

McCombie encourages residents to nominate other deserving local businesses for recognition through her program as it continues into the new year.

The 89th District covers all of Carroll and Jo Daviess counties, along with parts of Stephenson, Winnebago, Boone, Ogle, and DeKalb counties. Constituents can reach out to Leader McCombie’s office at (815) 291-8989 for further inquiries.
