State Representative Bradley J. Fritts has been actively engaging with his constituents in the 74th District during a two-week break before returning to Springfield for the session of the 104th General Assembly. Fritts emphasized the importance of connecting with community members and listening to their priorities.

In his January local business highlight, Fritts recognized Happy Joe’s Pizza and Ice Cream in Morrison. "They provide an excellent, family-friendly dining establishment and remain incredibly involved in our community," he stated. The franchise, owned by Lynn and Kevin Kenady since 1987, supports local schools and sports teams.

Fritts also participated in various community outreach activities. He visited Flewellin Memorial Library in Shabbona to discuss a ballot referendum that could expand the library into a full district. Additionally, he attended several events including a ribbon cutting at Lovett Child Development Center at Dixon Family YMCA and Education Day at Rochelle Leadership Academy.

He collaborated with State Senator Li Arellano Jr., ReadyNation Illinois, and Discover Dixon on workforce development initiatives. Fritts expressed enthusiasm about working together to attract businesses and enhance educational opportunities.

The opening of Solstice Salon & Scalp Spa in Sterling was celebrated by Fritts as well as his tour of historic sites in Galena alongside colleagues from the Illinois General Assembly and other notable figures.

Fritts announced upcoming events including an IPASS/ICASH event on February 4th at Sterling Public Library where representatives will assist with transponder updates and unclaimed property inquiries. A Medicare seminar is scheduled for February 11th at Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce to provide information on eligibility and coverage details.

To facilitate community involvement, Fritts introduced a new 'Community Calendar' on his official website where residents can view upcoming events. However, state ethics laws restrict certain types of events from being posted.

Representative Fritts continues to update constituents through his e-newsletter about legislative efforts and encourages engagement via his website or Facebook page.
