New online portal aids residents in obtaining REAL ID

On May 7, 2025, US travelers will need to be REAL ID compliant to board domestic flights and access certain federal facilities. In response to the increased demand for REAL IDs, Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias has launched a "Get a REAL ID Portal." This portal is accessible online and aims to assist residents in obtaining their REAL IDs.

The portal is designed to help residents plan ahead by providing necessary information related to acquiring a REAL ID.
