A prescription drop-off drive is scheduled for April 12th in partnership with the Sterling Police Department and the Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce. The event will run from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at 211 Locust Street in Sterling. Rep. Fritts said, "I encourage all constituents to attend and utilize this opportunity to safely discard unwanted or expired medications!" Accepted items include tablets, capsules, patches, vaping devices, and pet medications, while liquids, syringes, and needles are restricted.

In local business news, Tortoise Multisport in Dixon and The HitHub by Bennie Baseball celebrated their grand openings. Rep. Fritts extended congratulations to both, noting their contributions to the community.
