Rep. Fritts of Dixon, alongside other Republican colleagues, joined a press conference to address concerns over agency mismanagement in Illinois. This issue has led the U.S. Department of Justice to initiate an investigation into three centers for the developmentally disabled in the state.

During the conference, Rep. Fritts highlighted the importance of accountability and oversight in managing these facilities. The investigation marks a significant step by the Department of Justice to ensure these centers comply with federal standards and regulations.

The centers under investigation are responsible for providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The Republicans expressed their concerns about the management practices of these facilities and emphasized the need for transparency.

Rep. Fritts stated, "There must be accountability for any government agency, especially those charged with the care of our most vulnerable citizens."

The press conference served as a platform for Republican lawmakers to underscore their commitment to advocating for the rights and well-being of individuals in development centers. More information regarding the ongoing investigation is awaited as the Department of Justice proceeds with its efforts.
