State Senator Andrew Chesney has joined forces with the Northwest Illinois Alliance of Realtors to organize a pet food donation drive. Senator Chesney emphasized the benefits of adopting pets and the importance of supporting the humane society, saying, “There is no better pet than an adopted pet, and the Friends Forever Humane Society of Freeport has been providing loving homes for pets for over 70 years.” Further, he expressed his pleasure in co-hosting the drive: “Supplies are always needed, and it is my pleasure to co-host a donation drive to ensure their adoptable pets have an adequate amount of food.”

The items specifically requested by the society include Purina Dog Chow, Purina Cat Chow, Purina Puppy Chow, Purina Kitten Chow, Purina Dog Chow Little Bites, and any variety of canned dog food.
