City of Lanark City Council met April 29.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER/ROLL CALL-Lanark City Council met in a special session at the Lanark City Hall at 7 p.m. Roll call taken by Marilyn Heller, City Clerk, showed Alderpersons present were Brad Knutti, Ethan Lartz, Justin Rausch, Mark Macomber, and James Plock. Mayor Jerene Rogan was present and presiding.

Others present were: Ann and Trevor Knutti Attorney Ed Mitchell, and Clerk Marilyn Heller.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE-was led by Mayor Jerene Rogan.

SWEAR IN COUNCIL MEMBERS – ACTION REQUIRED – Attorney Ed Mitchell administered the oath of office to Alderpersons Brad Knutti, Ethan Lartz, James Plock, and City Clerk Marilyn Heller. Mayor Rogan requested council approval to reappoint Justin Rausch to the Ward 1 Alderperson seat. A Motion was made by Alderperson Brad Knutti and seconded by Alderperson Mark Macomber to approve the appointment of Justin Rausch to Ward 1 Alderperson - 4year term. Motion carried with four (4) aye votes. Aye votes: Alderpersons Brad Knutti, Ethan Lartz, Justin Rausch, and Mark Macomber. Following approval, Attorney Ed Mitchell administered the oath of office to Alderperson Justin Rausch.

AUTHORIZE BANK SIGNORS – POSSIBLE ACTION - A Motion was made by Alderperson Justin Rausch and seconded by Alderperson Mark Macomber to update the authorized bank signatories on all city accounts to Mayor Jerene Rogan, Treasurer Deb Throop, Clerk Marilyn Heller and Alderperson Ethan Lartz and remove all other. Motion carried with five (5) aye votes. Aye votes: Alderpersons Justin Rausch, Mark Macomber, Brad Knutti, Ethan Lartz, and James Plock.

ASSIGN COUNCIL COMMITTEES – POSSIBLE ACTION Mayor Rogan distributed a list of council committee assignments and invited any requests for changes. No change requests were made. No Action Taken.

Alderperson Justin Rausch scheduled a Personnel Committee meeting for May 6 at 6:00 p.m. to address a resident complaint regarding the police department. Following discussion, the Council agreed to make this a joint meeting with the Police & Public Safety Committee.

ADJOURNMENT-MOTION- A motion to adjourn was made by Alderperson Ethan Lartz and seconded by Alderperson Brad Knutti. The meeting adjourned at 7:23 p.m. The motion carried unanimously with five (5) votes in favor.
