This week, House Minority Leader Tony McCombie toured her district to engage with constituents and local officials. With the legislative session adjourned for the summer, McCombie has been attending local events and providing legislative updates throughout northwest Illinois.

During her travels, McCombie visited Polo and met with Mayor Mark Scholl to discuss local and state issues. She also stopped in Mt. Morris at Pinecrest Manor, a long-term care and senior living community.

Another highlight of her week was visiting Stronghold Castle in Oregon, Illinois. Built in 1928 by Walter Strong as a summer retreat, the castle now serves as a conference, retreat, and camping center operated by the Presbyterian Church. The site is also known for hosting an Olde English Faire in early October. McCombie appreciated her tour of the castle and its grounds.
