McCombie marks Constitution Day with message on national values

Constitution and Citizenship Day, observed on September 17, commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787. The day also recognizes individuals who have become American citizens.

House Minority Leader Tony McCombie marked the occasion by emphasizing the importance of national values. “Our shared belief in the core values of our nation is what keeps our democracy strong,” McCombie stated.

McCombie, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State House in 2023 to represent the state's 89th House District, succeeding Andrew Chesney.
