Freeport Athletics, the official athletics account for Freeport High School in Illinois, reported on recent varsity sports results and highlighted an individual athlete’s achievements in posts published on September 17 and 18, 2025.
On September 17, Freeport Athletics announced that the boys varsity soccer team lost to Hononegah with a final score of 0 - 2. Later that evening, the account posted another result: "Volleyball Girls Varsity loses to Belvidere with a final score of 18-25, 22-25."
The following day, attention shifted to an individual accomplishment. On September 18, Freeport Athletics congratulated Kaleah Hudson for her performance in flag football: "Athlete of the Week Congrats to Kaleah Hudson (Flag Football)! Kaleah had a monster week on the field: - 4 interceptions -4 touchdowns in one game - 80% of the team’s tackles across 2 games An incredible all-around performance leading the Pretzels on both sides of the ball!"
Freeport High School serves grades nine through twelve and had an enrollment of 1,084 students during the 2019-2020 school year. The student body is diverse: according to data from the Illinois Report Card, about half are white students (50.5 percent), followed by black students at 24.2 percent and Hispanic students at 11.4 percent (source). Grade ten comprised the largest group at just over one-fourth of all students.
