State Representative Bradley Fritts (R-Dixon) has recognized Selmi’s, a family-owned farm and business in Rock Falls, as his September 2025 local business highlight. Fritts met with Matt Selmi, the fourth-generation owner of the business, to present a certificate of appreciation for the family's longstanding service and involvement in the community.
“Selmi’s has been a household name in our region for generations,” said Rep. Fritts. “Under Matt’s leadership, they’ve carried forward their family’s legacy of growth, philanthropy, and strong community ties. From supporting local schools to donating goods and services for fundraisers, they show what it means to be deeply rooted in the community.”
The Selmi family has operated their business for four generations. The current owner continues this tradition by hosting school groups from around the area and organizing benefits and fundraisers for local causes. School programs such as CEO and students from Newman Central Catholic High School are among those who have visited.
Rep. Fritts added, “What really stands out about Selmi’s is their generosity and willingness to give back. Whether it’s supporting schools, hosting students, or lending a hand through fundraisers, they work hard to make our community stronger.”

Fritts was elected as a Republican to represent Illinois’ 74th House District in 2023 after Dan Swanson previously held the seat.
