Analysis: Rock Falls pays $2.60 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Rock Falls Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 72.2 percent of the $404,270 the Rock Falls Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.60 for every $1 from pension members, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Rock Falls contributed $292,074 to the fund, which saw a $14,356 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $111,932, or 27.7 percent, in 2016. Another $264 came from other unspecified sources.
