Illinois residents paid $10,460 to attend the two-year public institution this year $1,022 more than the $9,438 charged for 2016-17.
Non-residents paid 14.3 percent more than residents this year, or $11,960. Their price tag grew 17.3 percent from $10,194 in 2016-17.
About 99 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Illinois residents. And about 1 percent are residents of other states.
Data shows 74 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 167 students received grants or scholarships totaling $745,721 and 49 students took out student loans totaling more than $207,931.
Including all undergraduates, 1,285 students used grants or scholarships totaling $4.11 million. Another 263 took out $1.08 million in federal student loans.
